First Day Assignment

Your first assignment:

Write a comment  on this blog post that details 2 ebooks.  Include what type of book it is, what platform(s) it's published on, the cost, brief bio of the author, brief summary of any reviews, sales figures (if possible), where it's sold, and why you selected it.

Then write a 1 sentence elevator pitch for what you propose to create in this class. Obviously, it'll be helpful if you research books similar to the one you want to create.  If you intend to do a portfolio, please research one online portfolio in ebook format and one commercially produced ebook.

You will be presenting this during our "Pitchapalooza" this week, and the class will vote on whether or not you should move forward with your concept.

Sold on Google Books & in physical
      Ten dollars
Mark Blake is the editor-in-chief of Q and Mojo’s special edition magazines and books.
People like this book because it’s nice and detailed and offers a near firsthand perspective.
      Sold where they sell books
I picked it because it is the only book in my Google account.

Book Two: The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss
Sold on in physical; only available on Google Books as a preview
      From nine to twenty dollars
Dr. Seuss was a prolific children’s author and poet.
People love this book because it’s an easy read and it rhymes.
Sold at your neighbor’s yard sale
      I picked it because it’s a classic.

I am writing a book containing detailed reviews of some of my favorite albums; like 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die but it would be more like twenty albums and they would be ones that you would actually need to hear before you die.
